About Charles Tang

Charles Tang is the founder and creative director of this internationally acclaimed design firm – Charles Tang Design, who has achieved award winning designs for major cities in Dubai, China and Australia.

His design philosophy is “His work comes from his heart”, and “Tailor Made” principle touches each part of a customer’s lives enriching how they work, play, learn, shop and heal.

Prior to 2011, he collaborated with ZahaHadid and Helmut Jahn on projects as retail and mixed use design expert in Dubai from Sydney Australia.

He was the design consultant for Saunders Global Sydney, RTKL Beijing and Haskoll Beijing.

Charles also worked within a global design team, collaborated with former Disney & Universal Studio designers on Cinematic attraction and Theme Park attractions in China for Wanda Property Group.

Charles has published various articles such as “The great healthy City Urban MasterplanParanville Tasmania” for Australian Property Review and “Experience Design” with Property Estate Frontiers, “Relationships between spaces and culture” by professional architectural magazine such as a+a.

He was also voted and interviewed as the Urban Designer of the year 2014-15 by a+a

He is also nominated by UTS as the Australia China Alumni Award for corporation achievements 2015.

Charles has been awarded two major awards from Asia Pacific Design Competition 2018, which is organized by Hong Kong Indoor Designer Association and Asia Pacific Designer’s competition committee, from total 2968 entries from various countries such as United States, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and China, Charles has won The 2018 Asia Pacific Designer Excellence Award from the People’s award category and The Golden award for Retail / Commercial Design of the Creative design category.

He’s also been invited as a VIP guest speaker representing top Australian designers at Asia Pacific Designer’s Forum.

Profile Larry Ziebarth is best known as the creative master planner and architectural ideate of The Palm in Dubai, his first ten years at HHCP included experience as both a Project Manager and Director of Marketing. Tim Stewart

Tim is a town planner with 25 years of private and public sector planning experience.

 

Since 2002 Tim has consulted to a wide range of private sector clients involved mainly involved with property development with a focus on new residential development, commercial and industrial complexes, tourist accommodation and workforce housing. Work has included several large rezoning proposals as well as numerous Development Applications and Modifications to existing consents. The scale of project experience is diverse with approvals being obtained for sites with several hundred units as well as boutique dwelling houses and smaller residential projects.

 

Prior to 2002, Tim was the Manager of Strategic and Corporate Development at Wollondilly Council in NSW where he had responsibility over all strategic town planning matters, tourism and corporate development. Prior to this, he held a similar role at Hurstville Council as Strategic Planning Manager, which involved the preparation of LEPs and DCPs and major environmental and corporate development initiatives.

Tim’s Government experience extends to the processes and politics surrounding land development and infrastructure management providing knowledge of strategic decision making and government approvals processes.

 

Tim has a background in government mediation and understands the tensions between property development and government requirements. Up front strategic advice is critical to expectations, feasibility and project success. Tim provides this advice to clients while also assisting in where certain projects may be pushed to their full potential.

About Albert Leung | Aged Care Operation Expert

Albert Leung joined the Australian Nursing Home Foundation (www.anhf.org.au) as a Director of Nursing in December 1986. ANHF, a charitable organisation was first inaugurated in 1980. Starting with a humble beginning of running a 21-bed aged care home in 1982 and it has now expanding to become one of the largest Chinese aged care organisation in Australia.

 

After more than 22 years working for ANHF,  my role was a Member of the Board of Trustees, Secretary of the Board, Chief Executive Officer prior to my retirement in February 2009. Throughout the years I envisioned the growth in its services; planning sustainable and future-proof designs and initiatives by working with professionals. Specialising in providing and emphasizing on Operational Practicality Inputs in all architectural designs of all its facilities. Enabling all facilities and homes of ANHF are clients and workers orientated, energy and water efficient as well as cost effective business.

 

Incidentally,  I was one of the honorary consultant of the first Chinese aged care service in the state of Victoria namely On Luck Chinese Nursing Home (a project of Chinese Community Social Services Centre Inc.) from its inception till its completion in 2006 in Donvale, Victoria.
